Rocky Horror Poster
For this project, I wanted to commemorate my yearly tradition of going to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show. For my second project, I used a linoleum block print with set type printed on top. To begin my process, I created moodboards in order to reference the visual language seen in existing Rocky Horror Picture Show posters, along with linocut prints to reference the style I was hoping to achieve. After creating thumbnails and roughs, I chose my best design and began carving the design in linoleum. I spent about 9 hours on the carving to achieve the detail and glitter on Dr. Frank-n-Furter’s costume.
