As an introduction to the letterpress process, I was tasked with creating a type specimen for one case of type in the type shop. This process began with creating a moodboard for ideas of aesthetic and theme, and then thumbnails to create concepts of layouts. Following this, I learned to set type and create a lockup in the press and began the process of printing. The type used is Melior Bold Condensed, and the borders are printed using cut linoleum pieces.
